Maybe that Not Really a Scientist Guy can explain this paragraph to me.
Quote:
The model Morgan and her colleagues created suggests that the sulphur gas from vaporised rock and seawater could have dropped global surface temperatures by an average of nearly 47 degrees Fahrenheit (26.7 degrees Celsius) almost overnight. Such temperatures may have lasted for several years, until most of the aerosolised sulphur fell out of the sky.

What exactly is an "average" temperature drop and how in God's name can they estimate it for an event occurring 66 million years ago? And "Almost overnight"? What the fuck is that, a night like in the Bible during the creation of the Earth? Or are you telling me some Dinosaur around the other side of the globe from the impact zone went to bed with the temperature at, oh 80 degrees Fahrenheit and woke up with it being 0? I mean the AVERAGE was 47 degree drop which means it had to still be pretty damn warm where the asteroid hit right? Heat wouldn't dissipate THAT quickly, right? For ever loving mother's sake who writes this shit, a 10 year old?

Gentlemen, he said I don't need your organization, I've shined your shoes
I've moved your mountains and marked your cards
But Eden is burning either brace yourself for elimination
Or else your hearts must have the courage for the changing of the guards.
